Getting to the terminal

The ferry to Patras leaves from the Fusina terminal, Via dell'Elettronica, 30176 Venezia. The terminal is on the mainland, not in the historic centre. Cars can't enter the historic centre; the road ends at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto. Venice's other terminals are on our Terminals page.

Check-in

Blue Star Ferries requires you to be at the terminal at least 3 hours before departure. Have your passport or ID card ready, and your vehicle registration document if you're travelling with a vehicle. At check-in you'll often see the name Superfast: that's Blue Star Ferries' sister brand within Attica Group, and it's the same crossing.

On board

The ship to Patras is usually the Superfast V, with the Superfast III or IV covering some sailings. You'll be on board for more than a day and a night, so a cabin is well worth it. The fleet offers cabins with shower and toilet, inside or outside, plus airline-style seats. There are waiter-service and self-service restaurants, bars and Wi-Fi.

Arrival and onward travel

On the way, the ferry calls at Igoumenitsa before continuing to Patras. Patras lies on the Gulf of Patras in the north-west of the Peloponnese, and from here you drive on into the Peloponnese. Our Greece guide helps you decide which of the two ports suits your trip better.
